Fedimindhive help? Me and my friends are talking about the pride flag, traditional 6 colour version. If it is hung vertically as opposed to flying from a flag pole, is the first stripe counting from the left red or purple?

The options are ambiguous to me, so I'm commenting instead of voting. From what I understand, generally you want the top left corner of a flag to remain at viewer's top left even when hung vertically, and I'm not aware of any exceptions to this specific to the rainbow flag. For the rainbow flag, this would mean red on left, I think.

@eishiya Talking about this the first reaction has been red to the left, then thinking how it is the topmost colour when flying horizontal, switching to purple as the leftmost colour. "Though it doesn't look right " 😅
